Open your shop on 1VIM in an afternoon
Updated Oct 6, 2026
An account, a pin, a name and a few photos. What each step asks of you, and what 1VIM does for you.
What you need
A phone with a camera, a few things you make or choose, and an afternoon. You do not need a website, a logo, a company or a warehouse. Opening a shop on 1VIM costs nothing, and so does selling: shops pay no commission, no listing fee and no subscription.
Drop your pin
Your shop starts as a pin on the map, where you work. Buyers on 1VIM look for things by place first, so the pin is your shop window. You decide how exact it is: the street, the neighbourhood, or only the city.
Name it and say what you make
A short name, and one line about what you make, the way you would say it to someone standing at your door. Then the longer story: who you are, where you are, and why the things you sell come from there. Plain words travel further than clever ones.
List your first pieces
Start with three to five pieces you are proud of. Each listing needs good photos, a price in your own currency, how many you have, and the weight and size of the parcel, which 1VIM uses to fill in the shipping and customs paperwork. If a piece can only be made where you are, mark it Only made here: buyers look for exactly that.
Get paid
Payouts go through Stripe, to your bank, in your currency. Stripe asks for the same details a bank does: your name, your date of birth and an account to pay into. You keep the item price and the shipping in full.
Choose how orders leave your hands
Three ways, and you can change your mind later. 1VIM ships it: you print one label and drop the parcel at the courier. You ship it yourself, with the courier you already trust. Or the buyer collects it from you, for buyers who live close by.
Go live
Publish, and your pin appears on the map for everyone. Share your shop's link: it arrives in any chat with its own card, your name and your place on the map. Then tell people what you are making in Stories. A shop with a story is a shop people remember.
