Terms of Service

1VIM is the merchant of record on every order placed here: you buy from 1VIM, and 1VIM pays the maker after the parcel reaches you. If the delivery address is in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you have 14 days from the day it arrives to say you have changed your mind, and 14 more to send it back, whatever a shop's own policy says, and 1VIM honours that. Everywhere else the shop's own returns window governs, and it is printed on the listing and again at checkout before you pay.
1. Acceptance
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. What 1VIM is
1VIM is a marketplace built on a map. Independent makers keep a shop here and anyone can buy from them. A maker sets their own prices, their dispatch time and their returns window. 1VIM is the merchant of record on the order: 1VIM takes the payment, holds it while the parcel is on its way, and pays the maker afterwards.
Some pages still fall back to sample makers, sample listings and sample figures while a region fills up. Those are examples for illustration and do not represent real businesses, real people or actual results.
3. Returns and the right to change your mind
A buyer whose delivery address is in the EU, the EEA or the UK has 14 days from the day the goods arrive to withdraw from the sale, and 14 further days to send them back. That is the Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and, in the United Kingdom, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. A shop cannot sign it away, and because 1VIM is the merchant of record it is 1VIM that honours it and never the maker.
Everywhere else the shop's own returns window governs, word for word as it is written on the listing and again at checkout. A shop that sells final sells final there.
The law leaves out goods made to a buyer's own specification. Nothing on a listing tells a commissioned piece apart from stock on a shelf today, so 1VIM applies the 14 days to commissions as well.
1VIM holds the payment while the parcel is on its way. Where those 14 days apply, the money is held until they have run out, so a buyer who changes their mind is refunded out of money 1VIM is still holding.
4. Forward looking statements
Descriptions of integrations, rails, markets and performance figures that are not yet live describe intended functionality. They are plans, not commitments, and may change. Any figure presented as an example is modelled, not measured. The returns position in section 3 is not one of these: it is what 1VIM does today.

7. Selling on 1VIM
A maker who opens a shop here sells to the buyer through 1VIM. 1VIM takes the payment, holds it while the parcel is on its way, and pays the maker in the weekly payout batch after that. A maker sets their processing time, their returns window and where they ship.
- The 14 days a buyer in the EU, the EEA or the UK has to change their mind is not a maker's to refuse, and 1VIM carries it
- A maker's own returns window governs every other destination, and is shown to the buyer as written
- Everything listed must be lawful to sell and lawful to ship to the buyer's country, recalled goods included
- A maker is paid for an order once the parcel has reached the buyer and any window above has run out
