Map first discovery

Explore by place, not by search box. Spin the globe, zoom into a region and see every seller with a pin there and what they make.

Only made here

Geographic specialties are first class. Kiyomizu-yaki, Pampore saffron, Murano glass: pinned to the place they come from, searchable by name.

Landed cost upfront

Duties and taxes at checkout, DDP by default. The buyer sees one price before paying, and there are no surprises at the door.

Print and drop

Negotiated carrier rates, customs forms prefilled, and the nearest drop off point on the label. The seller walks it there and is done.

Paid at home

Payouts in your own currency through Stripe or Wise. Sell to a buyer in Tokyo, get paid in euros in Porto.

Translated listings

Write once, read anywhere. Titles, descriptions and origin stories are translated for every buyer's language automatically.

Trust built in

Verified sellers, buyer protection and tracked delivery on every order, so a first purchase from a stranger on another continent feels safe.

Bring your listings

Import from Etsy or Shopify in one click. Your catalog lands on the map with prices, stock and photos intact.

AI, optional

Do it by hand, or let AI handle the boring parts

Translation, customs codes, shipping lane and pricing each have their own switch. Turn on the ones you want, leave the rest to yourself. Every AI action is labelled and can be undone.

Labels are resold at a small margin only where the 1VIM rate beats your own. FX is passed through at cost plus 0.5%, and the payout fee is charged once per weekly batch, never per order.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about selling and buying on the map.

1VIM is a map first global marketplace. Think Shopify crossed with Pokemon GO. Every local seller on Earth gets a pin on a world map and a storefront. Buyers spin the globe, zoom into a region, see what is made there, and buy it. We handle cross border shipping, customs and landed cost so a ceramicist in Kyoto or a tile painter in Porto can sell to anyone, anywhere, without learning international logistics.

Discovery starts with place, not a search box. You browse the world and find what is only made there. Every listing carries a real origin, so a Kashmir saffron cooperative is not competing with a reseller three time zones away. Buyers see the full landed cost, duties and taxes included, before they pay. And sellers can be anywhere on the map and get paid in their own currency.

Nothing. Orders ship DDP by default, which means duties and taxes are collected at checkout and the parcel arrives with nothing owed. A few destinations, Brazil being the clearest example, do not allow prepaid duties on postal shipments. In those cases the checkout says so clearly and shows the estimate the buyer should expect on arrival.

An order arrives with the weight and customs code already filled in from your listing. You pick a rate from the carriers that serve your area, print one label with the customs form attached, and drop the parcel at the nearest courier point. From there it is tracked end to end, and the buyer sees every scan.

Most of the world. We cannot onboard sellers in countries under comprehensive sanctions, currently including Iran, North Korea, Syria, Cuba and Russia, and a few more where no carrier or payout rail operates. Everywhere else, payouts land in your local currency through Stripe or Wise, with Payoneer as a fallback where those are not available.

At launch the map is for hard crafts from named places: ceramics, textiles, glass, leather, woodwork, paper, jewelry, home goods and apparel. Food, spices, cosmetics, fragrance and knives are on the map but not for sale yet, because each needs its own compliance path, such as FDA prior notice for food or adult signature delivery for blades. Alcohol, plants and seeds, weapons, ivory and other CITES materials, antiques and anything sanctioned at origin or destination are never allowed. We flag all of this at listing time so a parcel never gets stuck in customs.

Every seller is identity verified and every pin is address verified, so a Porto pin means a real workshop in Porto. Buyer protection covers items that arrive damaged, misdescribed or not at all. Reviews can only be left on delivered orders, so a five star rating means a real parcel reached a real buyer.

Not yet. We are pre launch and building the first regions one at a time so the map never feels empty. If you know makers who should be on it, a ceramics village, a weaving cooperative, a family knife forge, invite them. Early sellers get a free pin and storefront for as long as they keep it.
